The woman was walking south along Rochelle Avenue when she crossed Chesnut Street and was struck by a Chevy Equinox whose driver was making a left from northbound Rochelle Avenue around 7:45 a.m., Police Chief Robert Flannelly said.
Rochelle Park Fire Rescue lifted the car off the victim, who was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center with injuries that Flannelly said didn’t appear life-threatening.
The 44-year-old driver, also from Rochelle Park, remained at the scene, he said.
The dog was OK.
An investigation was continuing, the chief said.
